On July 4th, 1990, V Pattabhi Ram co-founded the firm in Chennai, along with K S Yoganandh.

In 1994, Sridhar joined the firm and started the first branch in Mylapore.

In 1999, Y&R extended its services to Vishakhapatnam, the first branch out of Tamilnadu, with Mr. Mukesh Jain taking over as partner of the branch.

2001 saw further expansion of the firm, with branches established in Bangalore and Hyderabad.

In 2002, Mr. S D Bala, joined the firm as partner and established the Coimbatore operations, retiring eventually in 2012.

2007 saw Y&R registered with Public Companies Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), enabling the firm to audit listed companies in USA.

2009-10 saw Y&R expanding operations to Madurai, and also setting up a separate vertical for Information Security Audit, of the firm.

2015, was celebrated as the Silver Jubilee year of the firm.

Peer reviewed by the Peer Review Board of ICAI, enabling audit of Listed entities.

Empanelled as Information Security Auditing Organisation by CERT-In (Computer Emergency Response Team – India)

Induction of 3 new partners to the firm in 2017.

Empenelled with Royal Audit Authority (RAA) of Bhutan, enabling us to conduct statutory audit of government, listed, public and other entities in the country of Bhutan.

Today, Y&R LLP offer services in accounting, audit and assurance, business advisory, financial planning, taxation and Business valuations. Y&R now operates from 6 offices in 3 states, with 8 partners and 90+ staff.
